Did you know that 1 in 4 people experience a mental illness each year. And many stay silent due to the perceived judgement they think they may receive, and through lack of understanding what they are experiencing. It is important that we share the message to our young people through education, that if they need help, to speak up and ask!
Managing student and teacher well-being in a school just makes good sense.
Discovering The Best You will assist schools to create a healthy and happy learning environment. From practical strategies for tackling tricky situations, through to inspiration for the low motivation days that everyone experiences at different times, we understand what people want to know and provide the answers to make everyday life healthy, happy and fulfilled.
Our key difference is our wholistic approach. Instead of focusing narrowly on physical health or a single topic, we support the whole person – their physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing and resilience to stress. After all, strong wellbeing is essential for resilience to life’s challenges and being able to embrace one’s full potential. Our programs are delivered in an engaging and positive way to support the performance and wellbeing of students and teachers.
Our Mind Your Health program for School Wellness also includes latest research and practices from the fields of Mental Health, Mindfulness, Physical Health, Life Coaching and also through lived experience. These skills and strategies are supported by practical tools that help to embed wellbeing
principles and practices into everyday life. Our interactive workshops discuss ways to improve a student/teacher’s health and wellbeing.
Our Program aims to:
- Help promote wellness and positive living for young people through awareness and early education.
- Encourage young people to be open, engage in conversation and be vulnerable.
- Care and concern for the wellbeing of others
- respect for each other – no matter what race, culture or background
- a willingness to contribute positively to the school community
